Selinsgrove, PA – With just over two weeks to go before our community observes Memorial Day, a soldier appeared in the Weiser Run Creek. A statue of a soldier on bended knee was found discarded in Selinsgrove according to SPD Chief Thomas Garlock. The figure was found near the intersection of Charles Ave and Blackberry Alley in the Weiser Run basin.

The white statue features a modern era military figure carrying the M4 carbine and battle-rattle kneeling next to a cross. How the statue got into Weiser Run and who it belongs to are being looked into by SPD.

***UPDATE*** Police have stated that the owner of the statue has been found.
